Thanks for dropping in and hope you enjoy the images on our site. I’d rather let the pictures do the talking but here’s a little bit about myself and my approach to photography.

When I was in High School I was an artist. People would ask me my senior year what profession did I plan to take up in college. I always love photography and drawing but I knew with these professions, it would be hard to make a living. When I arrived at college I still didn’t know what I wanted to do. I finally decided after a half semester that I wanted to be a graphic designer. Between working/fixing computers and drawing, I figured this is the best of both worlds.

I never remember wanting to start a photography business. I was always pretty good with a camera and would shoot weddings and portraits on the side when I wasn’t in class. To get better I decided to take every photography class that was offered. I ended up with a double major, a BA in graphic design and photography.

When my friends and family became more interested in my work, I began to see that I loved the reactions and smiles when people saw the results of the images that I took.  I was good at a few things, graphic design, video work, building websites and photography. So my photographs would shine I started a new venture with just photography as the main focus. I’ve been into photography for as long as I can remember; but, it wasn’t until 2010 that I started Chase Charles Studio to pursue my gift of photography. Once I saw the power of the images I create, there was absolutely no turning back.

I approach my photography from a very personal place.  For me, the photographic experience is all about how you see the world.  By capturing these moments we can be forever reminded of the most beautiful things in our lives through the form of a photograph or a series of photographs that complete a story.

As a true artist, I see beauty in everything around me.  Although true beauty may not always be conventional, it is always honest.  Presenting that beauty and honesty in the form of a timeless photograph is among the best feelings I have ever experienced.  It gives me tranquility that is beyond words.Photography is my passion and sharing that passion to create is something I feel blessed to do every single time I pick up my camera.
